Confessions of a Mormon Jockey

BOOK 1: BAPTISM
When 9 year old Sonny Hancheck's parents are killed in a car accident, she is sent to live with her estranged (and very non-LDS) uncle in New York. Clueless about what to do with a kid, let alone a girl, Sonny's uncle takes her to the race track. What follows is nothing but the hand of the Lord setting Sonny on her path to destiny.

BOOK 2: CALLED TO SERVE
Twenty-year-old Sonny Hanchek is horse racing's Tim Tebow. She has spent the last 5 years rising through the ranks as a talented young jockey. Trainer's are starting to take notice, and Sonny's career is taking off at last. Yet, deep inside, Sonny feels a stronger calling to serve the Lord on a mission. Sonny must contend with the adrenaline rush of a thrilling stretch drive and the still small voice that tells her she must leave the world she so dearly loves.

BOOK 3: RETURN WITH HONOR
It's been two years since Sonny left New York to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She wants to return to her career as a jockey, but many trainers have moved on and forgotten about the starlet. Through prayer and preservation, Sonny finds her way back to the stable of a lone trainer who still remembers her and somehow on the road to the Kentucky Derby and the ride of her life.

Confessions of a Mormon Jockey is Ann Hunter's first trilogy. Presenting an unlikely heroine into the colorful, and dangerous, world of a male-dominated sport, Ann delves into horse racing with no holds barred.
